In 2008 Irwin Hodson Press developed Soya-Kote™, the first line of soy-based aqueous and UV coatings available in the printing Industry. These coatings provide customers with another sustainable solution when purchasing print. The Soya-Kote™ line of products uses soya as an alternative to petroleum and is supplied from domestic sources that support the American farmer.

These coatings are VOC free, require lower usage to produce higher gloss levels and cost less than traditional coatings. Soya-Kote™ provides added protection, enhances appearance, and is also available in special effect applications for the design and marketing specialist who are looking to further differentiate their printed products from commodity grade printing. Soya ultra gloss
Highest gloss levels for dynamic impact. Requires lower application and cost less then offline uv coatings and lamination. Can be applied as a spot application.

Soya dull/matte
Extreme dull and matte finishes. Can be applied as a coating or varnish. Can be applied as a screen or spot coating. Can be used inline with Ultra gloss.

Soya touch
Creates a suede soft feel finish. Can be applied as a flood or spot application.

Soya strike
Is a strike through application using a dull varnish with a high gloss coating for spot dull and gloss effects. Can be run inline in a single pass.

Soya texture
A textured coating with exceptional results. Creates a orange peel type effect in selected areas as a special effect.

Soya shift
A color shifting coating that reflects different colors when exposed to different angles of light.
